Abstract:
Aiming at the industrial pain points and practical difficulties of flower borders in subtropical coastal cities, including poor landscape sustainability, rapid landscape degradation and high maintenance costs, this paper takes Xiamen, a typical subtropical coastal city, as the research case. Based on landscape ecology and plant community theories, this study establishes a comprehensive evaluation system for stress resistance of flower border plants, screens out suitable plant communities with heat, salt and wind resistance, and further optimizes plant species proportions and group collocation patterns.On this basis, relying on core technical dimensions such as soil microecology improvement, typhoon-resistant structural layout, scientific construction of landscape layers, full-life-cycle green prevention and control of plant diseases and insect pests, as well as low-maintenance management and control, this paper systematically constructs a full-cycle construction and operation & maintenance technical system for flower borders adaptive to the special habitats of subtropical coastal zones.The research can provide practical technical references and implementation strategies for the ecological, low-cost and long-term construction of flower borders in coastal cities.
